Committees

There are currently two working groups or sub-committee in ElderNET Calgary:

• The Communications Working Group
• The Transportation Planning Table

The Communications Working Group:

This group has been working since January 2005 to develop a communication strategy by which all stakeholders in the ElderNET Calgary process can be informed about ElderNET’s progress and achievements and also have opportunities for providing feedback and suggestions.

Their first achievement, with the assistance of Glue Multimedia, was to design a logo and graphic package for ElderNET Calgary to use in all its correspondence with stakeholders. More recently they have been involved in the design and implementation of this web site. The working group will also take responsibility for generating regular news updates for stakeholders on the activities of ElderNET Calgary.

Transportation Planning Table:

The Transportation Planning Table was established in the summer of 2005 to look at issues around transportation and seniors in Calgary. The group has representatives from many sectors of Calgary society and has as its mandate the exploration and development of creative and innovative solutions to Calgary’s transportation challenges.
